under the oak: ccp youth

Our Vision: We are a dynamic and diverse group of youth and adults, all children of God, who exist to know Christ.

Our Mission: We find Christ through sharing our faith, serving others, and living lives that demonstrate God's love.

We call our gatherings 'Under the Oak' because it's a place where we can all come to help each other 'bury' the extra junk that weighs us down in life so we can focus more on Christ.

Jacob said to his family and to everyone else who was traveling with him: "Get rid of your foreign gods! Then make yourselves acceptable to worship God and put on clean clothes. Afterwards, we’ll go to Bethel. I will build an altar there for God, who answered my prayers when I was in trouble and who has always been at my side." So everyone gave Jacob their idols and their earrings, and he buried them under the oak tree near Shechem.

Summer Bible Study

Under the Oak Youth has “The Lot”, a Wednesday night bible study, in the youth room from 6:00-6:30 pm.

After Bible study, they will move down to the lower parking lot by the scout hut and have music, snacks, and games set up for people to hang out together till 8:00 pm. Some nights will have organized games, and other nights might consist of 9 Square in the air, Gaga ball, 4 square, cornhole, etc.

The Youth Sunday School class meets in The Shop (Youth Room) at 9:30 am on Sundays. They study and discuss biblical truths and how they relate to being a student today. Some students will also participate in Confirmation Class, which is a crash course on the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and reformed theology. At the conclusion of confirmation, participants are officially added to the membership roll of the church.

SUNDAY NIGHTS (throughout the school year):

4 to 6 pm every Sunday in the youth room for games, worship, small groups, and a talk.
