under the oak: ccp youth

Our Vision: We are a dynamic and diverse group of youth and adults, all children of God, who exist to know Christ.

Our Mission: We find Christ through sharing our faith, serving others, and living lives that demonstrate God's love.

We call our gatherings 'Under the Oak' because it's a place where we can all come to help each other 'bury' the extra junk that weighs us down in life so we can focus more on Christ.

Jacob said to his family and to everyone else who was traveling with him: "Get rid of your foreign gods! Then make yourselves acceptable to worship God and put on clean clothes. Afterwards, we’ll go to Bethel. I will build an altar there for God, who answered my prayers when I was in trouble and who has always been at my side." So everyone gave Jacob their idols and their earrings, and he buried them under the oak tree near Shechem.

At the conclusion of confirmation, participants are officially added to the membership roll of the church.

other gatherings

High School students meet during the school year on Tuesdays at 7:20am at Chick-fil-A on West Walnut Avenue. A devotion will be given around 7:40, and we'll lift each other up in prayer before we go. The church bus will leave Chick-fil-A at 8:00am for those needing a ride to school. Bring friends to prayer breakfast and get them connected!

Come dressed in neon and ready to have a crazy good time! We have black lights, music, and snacks. Show off your dance moves or just sit back and take it all in. We hope to make this a safe and fun environment for kids to be able to hang out.

Nobody wants to go straight home after the football game, right? 5th Quarter gives our high school kids a safe, chaperoned place to hang out after some of the games on Friday nights. We have music, dancing, snacks, and plenty of space to sit and chill.

Every summer our Middle School kids spend a week at The Great Escape and our High School kids spend a week at Fun in the Son. Both are camps put on by Youth Conference Ministries. We also go on mission trips here in the US and abroad through YCM. Our annual winter ski trip to Beech Mountain, NC is always a great time and we all look forward to it.
